Romanian Point Lace flower

Full day workshop with popular Romanian Point Lace artist Elena Iove. Learn this beautiful crochet braid and needle lace technique. Crochet braids will be supplied. 8 hrs.—cost will be $65.00 including all supplies.

Hardanger in the Round


Create a lacy 8” rounded doily (perfect for under a bud vase) while learning the basics of traditional hardanger embroidery—kloster blocks, buttonhole stitch, eyelets and woven bars.

Squaring the Round

Prepare the foundation at home (a variation of Hardanger in the Round), then extend the corners with four different filling stitches.

Do you remember watching your grandmother or other lacemaker tat, and wondered just how it was done? Or did they try to teach you, and you just couldn't get it, but would still like to learn? Innovative teaching techniques help you learn! Project is a clover-pattern tatted bookmark. Learn how to do rings, chains, and joins.

Needlepainting — Woodland Threads

Stitch this adorable needlepainted mouse enthralled by a beaded dragonfly. Basic needlepainting techniques including shading and stitch directions. Also includes stitching with beads and metallic threads. Learn the finer points of stitch placement and correcting minor differences. 6 hrs.

"Quickies"

Beading

Learn to embellish your cross stitch with beads! Three different techniques will be presented for bead attachment, along with suggestions for where each should be used. It is suggested that you bring a piece ready to be embellished. 1 hr. Thursday Feb 25: 10 am to 12 noon

Need just a little help to move you along? Gotten stuck in a project and need to figure out the next step? Then this class is for you. Every Monday morning from 10 am to 12 noon and every Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Preregistration is required. $5.00 per session

Do you have some gorgeous threads, fabrics or embellishments that you couldn’t resist buying but don’t know what to do with? Come to this class and figure it out! Bring a finished piece of needlework and 3 or more coordinating fabrics and your sewing machine, and get ideas, inspiration, and how-to for framing you stitched piece with fabric. 6 hrs.
